The 14 Day Movement Challenge

As a former personal trainer, Division I athlete and now co-founder of a wellness-based company, I never thought I'd struggle with my fitness routine.

Well, I'd be lying if I said I've been more than sedentary over the last few months. Hours at the office have been long, stress has been high (startup life!), my body has felt exhausted, and truthfully, I've lost a little bit of motivation.

​Then, this past weekend, a girlfriend of mine was in town and she motivated me to get in two great workouts with her. They were my first real workouts since March.

Having her in town reminded me of why I love to exercise. Not only was I giving my body the movement that it had craved, but my brain felt alert all weekend, and I slept like a champ.

This got me thinking about the times I've been most motivated and active with a fitness routine. It's been when I've had an accountability partner/workout buddy or been a part of a larger community that's helped me to get moving.

Between work, sleep, and just life itself, it can be hard to move as much as we'd like. So I thought: what better squad is there to rally together to support one another to get our bodies moving than our Après community?!

With that, I'd like to challenge you to join me in a 14-Day Movement Challenge starting Monday, June 17th through Sunday, June 30th. Together, we will support one-another in 45 minutes of movement everyday. Movement can mean a killer cardio class, yoga flow or a simple walk around the block. Just *move*!

THE 14 DAY MOVEMENT CHALLENGE DETAILS

Commit to move your body for 45 minutes every day for 14 days.
  • Movement can be a long run, a HIIT class or just a walk around the block. Whatever moves your body and gets your blood pumping.
  • The challenge will begin on Monday, June 17th and the last day will be Sunday, June 30th.
  • I expect to you to push yourself. If you participate in the challenge, use me, the Après social community and your friends as a way to hold yourself accountable. After 14 days of movement, I guarantee you'll feel fantastic and committed to a healthier routine.
  • I'll be there every step of the way. You'll receive emails from me throughout the 14 days to use as a source of inspiration and to hold yourself accountable. Plus, some free workouts!
