All bodies are good bodies

Skinny doesn't equal healthy.

Let’s talk about inclusivity in the fitness industry and the need to normalize normal bodies. Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do, not what it can't. Let's be more mindful with our movement, choose workouts that are fun, boost your energy and make you feel good and confident! 

At Après, our definition of health isn’t about pounding away on the treadmill or restricting our calories. To us, health and fitness is about building confidence, strengthening muscles, easing stress and anxiety and connecting with a like-minded community. We’re tired of the constant pressure to look a certain way, eat a certain way or fit into a certain pant size. How about we all just strive to be healthy and happy?

Think again about your WHY. Don't think of fitness as a way to punish yourself for what you ate or to fix everything you don't like about yourself. Think of how it makes us more present for our families, more focused at work, stronger in life and more energized throughout our busy days. Sometimes our bodies want a 6 a.m. workout fueled by Après and followed up by a kale salad, sometimes our bodies want rest and chocolate chip cookies. And both are healthy. 

Together let's change the conversation around our bodies. Let's challenge society's unrealistic standards/ideals. Let's use fitness to uncover our best selves, because our worth is not defined by the number on the scale or our jeans.
