Fall In Love With Yourself This Valentine's Day

Ah, February. The month of all things love (Alexa, play Love On The Brain by Rihanna). Maybe you’re single AF and the 14th is pretty much like any other day, or maybe you’re a hopeless romantic and you’re spending your Valentine’s Day watching rom-coms and eating chocolates with bae. But the truth is, the most important relationship is the one you have with yourself.


“Love yourself first and everything else will fall into place,” sound familiar? Well it couldn’t be more true. It all starts within you. So, here are a few things you can do to cultivate self-love:


Treat yourself like the MVP you are: Accept who you are and embrace the person you are becoming, because there is no one else like you! Be compassionate, understanding, supportive and forgiving. Eat well, sleep well, exercise well and calm your mind. And please, stop waiting for everything to be perfect to be happy, enjoy the here and now! 


Practice daily affirmations: Write that sh*t down and stick it on your wall. Repeat them every morning until you truly believe them! Try out a few of ours: I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to. My imperfections make me unique. I am allowed to ask for what I want and what I need.


Be in charge of our own choices: Check in with yourself, what’s serving you and what isn’t. Write down what currently makes you feel good and what is feeling stale. And alignment puts us closer to living our true purpose.


Raise your vibe:Be picky with who you allow into your life. Cya toxic energy, you can’t sit with us! Don’t be afraid to set those boundaries! Let go of the people and the places in your life that are only bringing you down instead of lifting you up. Deep clean your entire living space, get rid of the clutter and throw away all those things you don’t need. Identify the source of any negativity and whatever drains your energy, and make space to invite positivity your way.


The journey to self-love doesn’t happen overnight. But it’s time to start giving yourself the TLC you deserve. So, this Valentine’s Day, hop up out the bed, turn your swag on, take a look in the mirror say what’s up (ok we’re done)😉
