For our thirstiest fans! Hydration in a (coco)nut shell

In today's ingredient highlight, we're talking about electrolytes! 

Coconut water, nectar of the gods as we like to call it, is the ultimate queen and definitely lives up to the hype. Whether it’s post-workout hydration or morning recovery, from its abundance of electrolytes, to its ability to boost your metabolism, or its magical power to give your skin that Hollywood glow, there are so many reasons coconut water reigns supreme.

Your muscles are 75% water, which means that hydration, especially after that sweaty yoga or spin class, is paramount for proper recovery. Coconut water has an edge over water and traditional sports "rehydration" beverages for a few reasons:

  1. For one, coconut water is packed with potassium, which is a key player in rehydration. It's crucial to help ease skeletal muscle contraction, and can help prevent muscle cramps.
