Before starting Après, I was a health and wellness coach and personal trainer. My goal with clients was to help them make small shifts in their lives that would lead to major change. Through this work with clients it became clear that focusing on small daily habit changes is the most concrete and lasting way to make big changes in your life.
This is why the 30 Day Challenge we've created is such a beautiful way to kick off 2019. It's easy to get sucked in to harsh cleanses and detoxes - it's our natural human way to want a quick fix for everything. Yet as many have experienced, such drastic changes are too often met with exhaustion and dismay just a few short weeks (or days) later.
This week, I encourage you to get clear on what you want out of 2019. What would you like to be celebrating on New Years Eve 2019? Then use the Week 2 Challenges I've provided below, and feel free to add or create your own, to help you get on that path to accomplishment.
If your goal in 2019 is to lose weight, then focus your energy this week on the challenges that ask you to book a new workout and take a morning walk. If you like how that feels, continue those challenges for a few more weeks and notice how they start to add up.
Perhaps at the end of this year you'd like to be making more money or get promoted. If that's the case, then focus your energy this week on the challenges that will help your success at work. Perhaps you download a new business podcast and enroll in an online course that will give you the tools you need for that promotion. It all starts with small steps that help you achieve your bigger goal.
