Dear stress, we're breaking up with you.
To stick with our theme of ~Zen~ for National Yoga Month, we're going to chat more about stress management and what you can do to re find your balance.
If you feel like you're constantly stressed about anything and everything right now, don't worry, us too. But, we're here to help you create healthy habits and find ways to cope so that you don't totally lose your mind.
Here are some of our favorite tips to help you ~find your calm~ :
Walk the walk: Put in your airpods, play that JB, Drake, the Hamilton soundtrack, whatever tickles your fancy, and strut like you mean it. Getting some exercise and fresh air will make you feel so much better.
Write that sh*t down: Set yourself up for success. Make those to-do lists, prioritize your tasks, journal all those thoughts and feelings. Put it down on paper so it’s not just floating around in your head.
Get your mind right: Work on your mindset. Stay positive. Set boundaries. Avoid your triggers. Set goals. Live in the present. Zoom out, get a new perspective. Check-in with yourself.
Call your bestie: Grab drinks (or an Après😉), a healthy meal, go see a movie, shop til you drop, the activity itself isn’t as important as the company. Spend time with the ones you love and who bring a smile to your face.
Meditate: Ok, maybe sounds a little boujee, but for real it works. Download Headspace or the Calm app and quiet your mind. Meditating bring you back to your center, the present moment, your YOU. Do you know how many decisions we make in a single day? How many different thoughts run through our minds? It’s crazy. Start with just one minute and work your way up!
And of course, yoga!: The queen of movement to bring you back to your breath and achieve harmony in the mind, body and spirit. Take a few minutes to get on your mat, stretch it out, practice your favorite poses and flow in a way that makes you feel good. Inhale the good, exhale the BS.
